1. Take a digital photo of yourself.
2. Tell us about your character with an exciting backstory (300 words maximum).
3. Post your photo on a public link where the judges (and everyone else) can view it. This could be your MySpace page, Facebook, Blogger, etc.
4. Submit the link, your photo, backstory and personal information by e-mailing SOEContests@soe.sony.com. Please put "Legends of Norrath Living Legends Photo Contest Entry" in the subject line.
5. Digital photos that are submitted must be unenhanced and unaltered and fit the file specifications to be considered.
   
   (JPEG, approximately 800 x 600 pixels, 250 KB file size)

Your entry must contain all of the following:

• Subject line must read "Legends of Norrath Living Legends Photo Contest Entry"
• Publicly accessible link to your digital photo
• Photo release form
• Name
• Address, city, state, ZIP code
• Phone and e-mail address
• Your designated MMO (EverQuest or EverQuest II)
• Your Station and/or character name and server you play on
• Your character's backstory (300 words maximum)
  

SOE will select up to two winners, one EverQuest player and one EverQuest II player. Each winner will receive:

• The winner's image likeness crafted into a Legends of Norrath card for release in a future Legends of Norrath set by artist Kieran Yanner.
• A trip to the SOE Fan Faire 2008 for the unveiling of his or her image at the Grand Banquet scheduled for Aug. 16, 2008.
• A print of his or her Legends of Norrath image.

Additionally, each winner will receive one of the following, depending upon his or her game preference:

• The EverQuest winner will have his or her painted image made into a statue and placed within the Guild Hall in the game!
• The EverQuest II winner will have his or her image painted as a picture and hung in his or her character's virtual house!

Here are some examples of how Kieran has turned ordinary EQ and EQII players into Legends of Norrath icons!

Feel free to go above and beyond these examples for your entry. Tie a bath towel around your neck to make a flowing cape. Hold a rake in front of yourself like a menacing halberd. Shine the light from the floor or overhead to create interesting shadows. The more you give Kieran to work with, the more interesting your image is and the better chance you have to win!

• Does your photo portray a great story?
• Does your photo show imagination? Passion?
• Feel free to use any props, lighting or background to promote your picture with the judges.
